Artist Book Introduction

Between Threads and Clouds breaks away from the conventional act of reading from the first to the last page. I used thread to rebind the pages, transforming the original sequence from one to eight into a new reading path—2-6-4-1-5-8-3-7. The viewer must follow the pull of the thread to turn the pages, rather than relying on numerical order.

The logic of this stitching mirrors how dreams and memories unfold—never linear, but flashing, overlapping, and leaping across fragments. The thread becomes a trace of the subconscious, weaving through disjointed images like the act of recalling a dream: blurred and uncertain, yet carried by an internal rhythm and emotion. Each turn along the stitched path retraces the movement of a drifting dream.
